Dr. Soumik Sarkar completed his Ph.D. and M.Phil in Economics (first class first) from University of Calcutta. He has worked as Economist at the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and as Assistant Professor at Adamas University, West Bengal. Soumik holds a DELF B1 diploma in French language. He was one of the Bengali translators of the book "Country of First Boys” by Amartya Sen and has published research articles in both Bengali and English.
